Little Toe
Had to have a bone chip removed from my little toe yesterday and am now writing this blasted on Percocette.
Northwest Passage Plan B
I have to start implementing “Plan B’ wherein this thing is more and more going to be coming out of my pocket. Clinton, Dominique and Greg met the news with the expected concern yet their resolve was firmly in place. I’d promised them salaries and for several months had been meeting these salaries, salaries that were based on money which we were now never going to see. A venture of this nature has enough elements to keep one awake at night wondering and worrying. Now that it was going to be self-funded the worry and anguish levels had reached heights only felt during the years I worked in broadcast television. Somehow it was going to work and if there ever was a plan which called for one day at a time, this was it. Through divine intervention and by no means any cleverness on my end, two years ago I had the great fortune to sell a house in CA at the top of the market. That proceeds from that deal was now going to get us up to The Northwest Passage, it may not actually get us through and out, but we’ll be able to get ourselves up there. I’m proceeding with the project as though nothing had happened and we were still well funded.
