Exactly two years ago, while trying to pitch another documentary concept to a lunch table filled with people who stood between my idea and it’s fruition, I was asked a very simple question, “What adventure haven’t you done yet, that, in a perfect world (I supposed he meant a perfect world which offered perfect funding) you’d like to do.” What my lips offered up before my brain could decide how best to frame the answer was “The Northwest Passage” Three of the five at the table had no idea where or what The Passage was… and that is part and parcel of why I now sit and write the opening thoughts of this blog.
